چکیده
This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of PRP and dextrose PRL in stifle joint arthritis rabbits.Sixteen healthy adult male rabbits were allocated into groups A (n=8) B (n=8). After induction all experimental animals, animals group treated with intra-articular injection PRP, while PRL. Pain scoring was evaluated by Simple Descriptive scale at 0d, 6d, 13d, 19d, radiographic examined Kellgren Lawrence grading system pre-induction, post-induction, post-treatment. The hematological parameters, including PLT, HB, WBC, PCV, RBC, monocytes, lymphocytes, assessed blood samples 19d. We observed that showed a significantly lower (P<0.05) value than 13d Radiographic during However, pre- post-monoiodoacetate (MIA) induction, there no significant difference (P>0.05) between both groups. PLT concentration increased, monocyte decreased 19d (P<0.05), lymphocyte In conclusion, application is an effective method for treating compared rabbit model.

Assessment effectiveness of hypertonic dextrose prolotherapy compared with erythropoietin, platelet-rich plasma and radiofrequency prolotherapy in knee osteoarthritis treatment in Iran
Aims and background: Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a major public health issue because it causes chronic pain, reduces physical function and diminishes quality of life. Knee osteoarthritis is a chronic disease and is one of the most common causes of disability in the elderly. Population ageing and increased global prevalence of obesity are anticipated to dramatically increase the prevalence of kn...

متن کاملEvaluation of the Possible Synergic Regenerative Effects of Platelet-Rich Plasma and Hydroxyapatite/Zirconia in the Rabbit Mandible Defect Model
Background: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bioceramics such as hydroxyapatite (HA) and zirconium oxide (ZrO2) are used to reconstruct mandibular defects. We sought to determine the synergistic effects of HA/ZrO2 and PRP and compare their osteogenic activity. Methods: ZrO2 scaffolds were constructed by the slurry method and were then coated with HA and impregnated by PRP/heparan sulfate (HS). Bil...
متن کاملComparative Study of Four Platelet-Rich Plasma Methods for Preparing Platelet Concentrates
Background: Platelet preparations have been used for a wide variety of clinical applications such as hemorrhage, tissue engineering and cellular therapy. Platelet concentrates can be prepared by the apheresis method or from the whole blood using the Buffy-coat or Platelet-rich plasma methods. The purpose of this study was to compare four variations of platelet-rich plasma method based on double...

For patients with osteoarthritis (OA) involving the spine, proper diagnosis, pain management and functional outcomes remain poor and inconsistent. This is despite widely used therapies such as steroid and Botulinum toxin injections, chemonucleolysis, radiofrequency denervation, intradiscal electrothermal therapy, pain management pumps, spinal cord stimulators, and surgery [1,2]. Most of these o...
